You'll continue to need the umbrella into the early evening, but rain will be coming to an end later. We've picked up nearly .5" as of 5pm, with maybe an additional tenth to go.

Friday will clear out nicely with partly cloudy skies. Temperatures on Friday will rise to the mid 40s to around 50.

More seasonable air filters in to New England for the weekend. We will see highs in the upper 30s on Saturday and low 40s on Sunday. We could see wind chills on Saturday in the upper 20s with a stiff breeze in place.

Additionally, Saturday morning could see a coating of snow in Berkshire and Franklin Counties. A few flurries may fly in Hampden County, but no accumulation is expected.

The cold weather doesn't stick around long. After Sunday, the mild air returns. High pressure will set up off shore causing the jet stream to lift into Canada as another ridge builds across the east. This will cause temperatures to run above normal for all of next week including Christmas Eve and Day.
