(CNN) - McDonald’s is making a move as “green” as its classic Shamrock Shake.

Employees across the U.S. are now sporting new uniforms that are more environmentally friendly than before.

The aprons, T-shirts and the like are made with CiCLO technology which produces much less pollution.

Officials say the production of these uniforms will prevent millions of pounds of plastic from getting into the soil, sea and air.

In a blind field test, crew members couldn’t find any differences from previous uniforms.

McDonald’s has pledged to achieve net zero emissions by 2050.
