Trick-or-treaters hit the streets of western Massachusetts for Halloween
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - As prime trick-or-treating time approached on Halloween night, we took a trip to one popular neighborhood in Springfield where kids and candy bags ran rampant.
On Gillette Avenue, residents always go full-out for Halloween.
You can see houses decked out with lights, music and colorful displays, and sweet treats galore. We’re told residents plan for this night months in advance, and the effort is evident.
It’s a must-see for many families in the area, and trick-or-treaters will be out in force as the night progresses.
Halloween is always an exciting night for sure, but as a reminder to anyone out on the roads tonight, keep your eyes open for trick-or-treaters up and down the sidewalks and crossing streets. We want it to be a safe night for everybody out there.
