Comedian Jon Rudnitsky performing at MGM Springfield this weekend

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Comedian and actor John Rudnitsky will perform at MGM Springfield this weekend. “I’ll talk to people, but it’s always in a way that’s positive,” he said.

A regular performer at The Comedy Cellar in New York City where he lives, Rudnitsky is bringing his show to Roar Comedy Club at Springfield’s South End resort-casino. He has also taken his talents to the big screen in films including Home Again and Our Little Secret, as well as many television shows like Curb Your Enthusiasm as young Larry. He offered a preview on what guests can expect at his show and said that he prides himself on uplifting his audience for a fun and interactive experience. “I’m here to lift your spirits, not tear you down. I’ll talk to the audience, but not in a way, if you’re sitting in the front row, no you weren’t, you’re not in the splash zone. You’re safe and we will become buds,” he explained.

Rudnitsky told us that folks can expect some old and new jokes. “I never know the order, I never know how I’m gonna get into things, and there’s always a good chunk of it that’s improvised, that’s usually based off the audience, yeah,” he added.

He also plans to close out the show with a grand finale, based on that night. “…And I create based on the show I feel that we built as an audience. I feel the audience is just as much part of the show as I am in a way,” he said.
