Springfield murder suspect’s charges vacated

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Turning now to an update on a man who allegedly murdered a woman inside of an SUV on Scott Street in Springfield taking place in January 2015.

Pedro Vasquez was facing the charge of murder in the second degree, along with weapon charges and these convictions were vacated and set aside.

Residents had reported seeing a man smash the window of a vehicle before running away to a different vehicle.

The case will be remanded to the superior court for proceedings.
