Westfield company donates several bikes to Toys for Tots

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - We’re in the final stretch of our Toys for Tots campaign and a Westfield landscaper proved Tuesday that it’s not to late to spread the holiday magic.

New England Lawncare stopped by Springfield studios to drop off approximately a dozen bikes. “The community does so much for us and we just want to give back and put smiles on young kids faces,” said Andrew Miller with New England Lawncare. “We decided that we were going to do this this year and hopefully continue to keep doing this every year from our company, to give back to the community. Without our customers, we wouldn’t be able to do this.”

Miller also said that, in a city like Springfield, he believes it is important for children to learn to ride a bike and added that it’s an important part of a childhood.

If you’re looking to help brighten the holidays for local kids in need, it’s too late! You have until Friday to bring new, unwrapped toys to our studios at 1300 Liberty Street in Springfield weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or you can drop them off at MGM Springfield 24/7.
