WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - A three-year-old cancer survivor is spreading hope to other local children with a lemonade stand.

Charlotte survived a rare kidney cancer called a Wilms Tumor and had her Make-A-Wish to visit Disney World granted in January. On Saturday she held a lemonade stand at Bertera Subaru of West Springfield, where her father, Dylan Robinovitz, works as a technician.

Charlotte’s mother told Western Mass News that their goal is to give other families what Make-A-Wish gave theirs. “the impact of a wish is so much more than just that one moment in the wish. It lasts forever. And so we really wanted to make that happen for other kids.

Bertera pledged to reinforce the fundraiser by matching all lemonade sales proceeds. General Manager Michael Teixeira said seeing the direct impact Make-A-Wish has been eye-opening, “now that we get to see that impacting somebody that we work with on a daily basis, it really shows what a special program that that is that Make-A-Wish offers.”

If you missed Saturday’s event, you can still find ways to donate by visiting the Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island website.
