NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - The Smith College Botanic Garden is welcoming a sight to behold. A Titan Arum, more commonly known as a Corpse Flower, is set to bloom.

It only happens once every two to three years and the flower only lasts for three days; the flower can grow up to nine feet tall. It got its name from the putrid scent it gives off to attract an unusual kind of pollinator, flies.

The botanic garden said it should be happening soon and they’ll be keeping tabs on the plant on their social media page.
