Thunderbirds sees mixed weekend after falling to Hershey Saturday

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Hopes for a winning streak was dashed as the Hershey Bears stormed back on the ice Saturday night at the MassMutual Center.

Hershey took the lead at the end of the first period with a power play goal from left winger Andrew Cristall, and continued to control the play on the ice leading to a onslaught in the third period, finishing the game at the final whistle 6 to 1.

Forward Zach Dean managed to find himself his first goal of the season with the Thunderbirds in the third period assisted by Jakub Stancl.

The Thunderbirds hope to bounce back again with another chapter in the Interstate 91 rivalry with the Hartford Wolf Pack. The next puck drop will take place around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday as the Thunderbirds host their annual School Day game.
