Pittsfield to undergo city-wide road repairs in August

PITTSFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Starting on Monday, August 3rd, streets in Pittsfield will start feeling a little smoother for drivers, but the tradeoff is roadwork impacting traffic throughout the month.

The work is for crack seal treatment which is being done in phases. The first beginning on Monday with the Summer Street parking lot and Tyler Street from First Street to New York Avenue.

The second phase includes several other streets across the city. City officials didn’t specify when the second phase is slated to begin, but they did tell us it’s weather dependent, and the project as a whole will take several weeks.
