WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - A burglary took place at a West Springfield dispensary early on Wednesday morning. The break in happened at Fine Fettle Dispensary on Memorial Avenue just before 3 a.m. that day.

Business owner of the dispensary Benjamin Zachs told Western Mass News the whole encounter only lasted two minutes, with security alarms going off right away. Zachs said nothing of value was stolen, just small things like rolling papers, and zero product was lost or taken in any way.

Zachs said in a statement that, “the person was in and out of the facility quickly, with no ability to get to other rooms or the vault. They broke one window and ran into a wall, then another. We’re lucky to have an amazing team that cleaned up, got windows boarded, re-configured the security, and had a great attitude!”

Zachs also said that the dispensary ended up opening at noon instead of 9 a.m. and is glad all the protocols they have in place worked correctly. Zachs added there is video of the incident, but they won’t be releasing it due to safety concerns.

Western Mass News did reach out to West Springfield Police to see if they have any additional information for us, but we have yet to hear back.
