Springfield Thunderbirds snap winless streak in Charlotte

CHARLOTTEE, N.C. (WGGB/WSHM) - The Springfield Thunderbirds have snapped a five-game-long losing streak.

They had not won since the beginning of the month against the Providence Bruins but now, they’re back, beating the Charlotte Checkers 2-1.

The T-Birds scored the first and only goal of the first period before Jack Finley whipped a blind cross-ice feed to Dylan Peterson, who then punched a shot, winning the game.

The Thunderbirds will be back home for their next game on Friday against the Providence Bruins. Tickets are available online, just head to their website.
